Cholesterol-lowering medicine has become a problem for heart patients in Japan.

Two people have died after taking this medicine and more than 100 people are hospitalized. After this incident, many questions have been raised on the drug manufacturing company. A company named Kobayashi Pharmaceutical told an international news agency that after the incident of patients falling ill, five types of medicines have been withdrawn from the market and the company is investigating the medicines. We apologize to those affected by the drug.

As per known details, an ingredient called Beni Koji (an ingredient made from red rice) is added to these medicines. It is believed that it reduces the amount of cholesterol, but experts say that there is a fear of organ damage because chemicals are also added to this medicine.

After the outcry over medicines, Japan's Health Minister Noon Noon has ordered Kobayashi Pharmaceutical to submit the investigation report to the government as soon as possible. Also, the government has asked its agencies to collect information about how many people across the country have been affected by this drug.

Share prices of Kobayashi Pharmaceuticals have also been affected after the uproar over the drug in Japan.
