New Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cell busted a warehouse belonging to an interstate drug gang and seized 15 kg of heroin. Its price in the international market is Rs 100 crore. According to Special Cell DCP Amit Kaushik, an interstate drug gang is active in Manipur, Assam, West Bengal and Delhi. This gang supplies heroin from Myanmar to many parts of the country including Delhi.
Police received information on March 21 that cartel members Diliram, Prakash Poudel and Arjun had taken a large quantity of heroin from Daju Kuki alias Raju of Manipur. He had to give such a large quantity of heroin to someone near the bus depot in Rajghat, Delhi.
The police laid a trap and arrested them and recovered 15 kg of heroin from them. The price of this heroin in the international market is Rs 105 crore.
The accused were identified as Diliram, Prakash and Arjun. The accused told during interrogation that they were members of a drug syndicate and were supplying drugs from Myanmar to many parts of India including India. He has been smuggling heroin for the last three years. He has supplied drugs to many parties in West Bengal, Bihar and Delhi NCR. During interrogation, another accused Sanjay Saha has been arrested from West Bengal.
Police say that the matter is being investigated thoroughly. Other members of this gang may also be arrested in the near future.
