Santiago, March 28 (HS). Chile will host South American rivals Paraguay in a friendly football match in June. This match will be important for both the teams, as both the teams are preparing for the Copa America in the United States.
Chilean Football Association president Pablo Milad said on Wednesday that the match will be played on June 11 at the National Stadium in Santiago.
It will be one of two friendlies scheduled by the entity ahead of the Copa America, which will be played in 14 US cities from June 20 to July 14.
“Later, we will probably play Bolivia in the United States,” Milad told Chile's ADN radio station.
Chile will open its Copa America campaign against Peru on June 21 before also facing Argentina and Canada in the group stage.
In friendlies played last week, Ricardo Gareca's side beat Albania 3-0 and lost 3-2 to France.
