How to make Gujarati Dal
- First of all, wash the toor dal with hot water two-three times, put it in the cooker and boil for 3 whistles.
- – Now when the lentils cool down a bit, grind it with a hand blender and add a little water to it and mix.
- – Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, badiya, asafoetida and fry.
- – Now add dry red chilli, grated ginger, chopped green chilli, tomato and neem leaves and mix.
- – Then fry it a little and then add ground lentils to it and mix.
- – Now add sugar, lemon juice, red chilli powder, turmeric and boil well.
