New Delhi, March 27 (Hindustan Reporter) Despite warning from the Delhi High Court, the legal cell of the Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday demonstrated in Delhi courts against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. There is information about demonstration from Aam Aadmi Party Legal Cell in Tis Hazari Court, Patiala House Court and Karkardooma Court.
Under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party Legal Cell Delhi President and Delhi Bar Council Vice President Sanjeev Naseer, lawyers protested at Tis Hazari Court on Wednesday.
Today itself, the High Court had given a strong warning on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Cell on the call for demonstration in Delhi courts. The bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan had said that if there is any demonstration in Delhi courts then it will have to suffer its consequences. The court had questioned how a demonstration could be held in the court. In fact, a lawyer, while mentioning before the bench headed by the Acting Chief Justice, said that he has e-mailed a letter to the High Court complaining about the demonstrations organized by the Aam Aadmi Party Legal Cell. Then the court had said that it would have serious consequences. Supreme Court orders will be implemented. The court cannot be held hostage. The parties cannot be prevented from coming to the court premises. You cannot violate anyone's fundamental rights.
In the statement issued by Sanjeev Naseer, it was said that Kejriwal has been arrested on March 21 under a conspiracy.
It is noteworthy that ED had arrested Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal on March 21. On March 22, Rouse Avenue Court had sent Kejriwal to ED custody till March 28. Kejriwal is currently in ED custody.
