Kolkata: The central government is now preparing to return the illegal assets and money worth Rs 3,000 crore seized by ED from the corrupt in Bengal to the poor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself said this on Wednesday during a telephone conversation with Queen Amrita Rai of Krishnanagar royal family, who is contesting from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat in Nadia district of Bengal. The PM has also talked about finding a legal way in this regard.

Trinamool Congress has made Mahua Moitra its candidate against Rajmata. He said that in Bengal, ED has seized property worth about Rs 3000 crore looted from the poor, which is being worked towards returning it to the poor. Therefore legal advice is being sought. The Prime Minister said he is working on legal options to ensure that the money of the poor people of Bengal, whose money was looted as bribes for jobs of teachers, clerks etc., does not go to the corrupt people. Compensation can be returned to them through confiscated properties.

A law will have to be made

The Prime Minister assured that as soon as the new government is formed after the elections, whatever rules or laws are necessary to bring it back will be made. The PM also asked the BJP candidate to tell this to everyone. In an eight-minute conversation with Queen Mother Amrita Rai, the Prime Minister discussed many issues including his election campaign preparations. The PM assured that this time there will be voting for change in Bengal.

A day earlier, the PM had also talked to Rekha Patra, the victim of the Sandeshkhali incident, who was the candidate from Basirhat seat. Amrita Rai thanked the Prime Minister for making her the candidate. Modi told Rajmata that you are carrying forward the legacy of Maharaja Krishna Raichand ji. On this Amrita said that I want to share one thing.

Trinamool people consider us traitors

Amrita Roy said that we are from the family of Maharaja Krishna Raichandji. But, these people (Trinamool people) are opposing it. It is said that he (Maharaja) was with the British. We consider people traitors. We have donated lands and done other work for the welfare of the people, they are not talking. We say that if the Maharaja had not done this, our Sanatan Dharma would have been destroyed. Today our language would have been different. Our clothes were different. On this, Modi said that when we were children, we used to hear about Krishna Raichand ji's development work, social reform work, development work of Bengal, the model here.

Those doing vote politics will blame

The PM said that they (Trinamool and other opposition parties) are people doing vote bank politics. Will make wild allegations. These people will try to defame, they keep looking for such things to hide their existing sins, but when it comes to Lord Ram they say where is the proof. But when it comes to Krishna Raichand, he immediately brings this issue to the fore. This is their hypocrisy. You should not take tension in your mind.
