Delhi President's Rule: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, caught in the alleged liquor scam, has refused to resign from his post. Kejriwal says that he will run his government from jail. Meanwhile, a former Aam Aadmi Party leader said that there is a constitutional crisis in Delhi and LG VK Saxena should immediately recommend President's rule. Journalist-turned-politician Ashutosh, who returned to his old profession, said that if a Chief Minister does not resign even after arrest, then it is a violation of the constitutional provision.

During a TV debate show, Ashutosh said- I do not understand that BJP often says that we will not let the government run. The Chief Minister is in jail. He has been arrested. I have said on record that this is a matter of constitutional crisis. After all, what is BJP waiting for? Why is there no President's rule? No Chief Minister can run the government from jail. This is an impossible situation, whether the Constitution says anything or not.

Ashutosh said that in a day or two, government work and administration in Delhi will be completely destroyed. He said- If this happens then who is responsible for it? Will Aam Aadmi Party take responsibility, will BJP take responsibility. This is a joke in Delhi. Neither BJP nor Aam Aadmi Party is concerned about how the government will run. A former aide of Kejriwal said- As soon as a person goes to jail, his freedom ends and he becomes incapable of running the government. It is the responsibility of the LG to ask the Assembly to elect a new leader. If this is not done in the Assembly, President's rule is recommended to the Home Ministry.

After his arrest on March 21, Arvind Kejriwal had said that he would not resign from the post of Chief Minister and would run his government from jail itself. However, many constitutional scholars have described this plan as impractical. Aam Aadmi Party says that this is possible and court approval can also be taken for this. However, in a TV program, Delhi LG VK Saxena said that the government in Delhi will not run from jail.
