
Mumbai: On Saturday, a truck, three cars and three buses collided face to face on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, causing a fierce accident. Two women died in this accident. Five other people were seriously injured.
The accident occurred near the lane going to Mumbai within the border of Khopoli police station. According to the incident, due to Saturday, the number of vehicles on the expressway was high. Meanwhile, traffic was stopped due to some reason near Khopoli Food Mall, 37th kilometer of the expressway at around 4 pm.
Meanwhile, the high speed trailer hit the Ertiga and Eton car strongly, after which the Aton car collided with another car. Due to which the car moving forward collided with the bus. Thus seven vehicles collided with each other. In this accident, the car got stuck between a truck and a road dividers.
Swift car driver and two women in the accident were seriously injured. In which 30 -year -old Ashwini Haldankar and her 17 -year -old daughter Shreya died.
So Vasudha Jadhav, Sarika Avatade, 9 -year -old Sarika Jadhav, 3 -year -old Avinash Jadhav and Akshay Haldan were injured in this accident. Additionally, traffic from Pune to Mumbai was disrupted due to the accident. On receiving information about the incident, the highway police, IRB system, angel system, Khopoli police and help Foundation teams immediately reached the spot.
After this, the rescue team immediately started rescue work and took all the injured out of the vehicle and immediately rushed him to the hospital for treatment. After this, the bodies were sent to the hospital for postmortem.
After hours of hard work, crashed vehicles were removed from the highway with the help of a crane and restored traffic. The police have registered a case in this case and started further investigation.
