Meerut, March 27 (HS). Head of Journalism Department of JC Bose University, Prof. Pawan Malik said that Indian knowledge tradition is a continuous subject. Indian knowledge tradition and India is a cultural identity. It is our knowledge tradition that makes possibilities possible. Foreigners tried to destroy the Indian knowledge tradition.
A one-day national seminar was organized on Wednesday at Tilak School of Journalism and Mass Communication of Chaudhary Charan Singh University. Pro. Pawan Malik said that media does the work of shaping human thoughts and behaviour. Today's youth have knowledge, technology and also the courage to do something. Today's youth is aware of Sanatan. Today's youth need to think about what their contribution is to the developed India of 2047. This is the first time in the new education policy that the word national has been added to the education policy. Not only all-round development but social level, nation building, global citizen have been brought in the new education policy. This education policy aims to connect students with the Indian knowledge tradition. The meaning of the word media is M stands for Me, E for Emotional, D for Delivery, I for Intellectual, A for Action. He said that narratives are formed due to reference.
Chief guest Professor Bandana Pandey, Dean of the Department of Journalism, Gautam Buddha University, Noida, said that in our Vedas, oral communication was considered the biggest medium of mass communication. Our Vedas and Puranas were not included in the curriculum in any university. There is a need to bring Indian knowledge traditions to the fore. The media never made any further efforts. Media always focused on religion and women. There is a need to think deeply on the subject of Indian knowledge tradition. There is a need to include communication of Indian knowledge tradition in the curriculum.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Sanjeev Kumar Sharma said that the Indian knowledge tradition has been flowing continuously. Dialogue is the main factor of communication. The tradition of listening is the tradition of speaking. Indian knowledge tradition is not stable. He said that communication is formed by turning questions into dialogue. The basic elements of communication exist in tradition only. Question leads to curiosity, curiosity leads to dialogue and dialogue leads to communication.
