Jaishankar During his recent visit to Germany expressed ‘appreciation from India’ for the expression of solidarity and support of the German government towards India in the fight against terrorism. A statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “In his meeting with Chancellor Mars, the Foreign Minister greeted and wished the new federal government of Germany on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chancellor Marz expressed strong support in various fields to further deepening the multi-faceted India-creator strategic partnership in various fields. Also appreciated India for. ”

The statement further said, “ADuring the Pani Yatra, the Foreign Minister held extensive discussion on all aspects of bilateral cooperation with External Affairs Minister Johann Wedful. The two sides also confirmed their shared commitment to further enhance cooperation in major strategic fields including defense, digital technology, AI, green and sustainable development and talent dynamics. He exchanged attitudes on regional and global development, confirming the shared situation of his countries over the promotion of terrorism without any exception, maintaining international law and promoting multipolar, rules-based international system. ”

During his widespread discussion, External Affairs Minister Johan Wadeful and Foreign Minister Dr. S Jaishankar also launched the official logo to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also focused on further strengthening the trade and investment relations between India-Germany and India-European Union during his visit to Germany. He discussed the progress in green and sustainable development partnership including Green Hydrogen and Infrastructure Area and Railways with Federal Economic Affairs and Energy Minister Catherine Reche.

The Foreign Minister participated in a high-level think tank dialogue in the DGAP (German Foreign Relations Council), in which he discussed with thinkers and experts on foreign and security policy to carry forward India-Germany’s strategic partnership in promoting global security and stability.

On the social media platform X, Jaishankar appreciated Germany’s contribution in deepening the partnership between the two countries.

He wrote, “There was a good conversation with the representatives of the Indian community in Germany today. He appreciated his contribution in our deep partnership. He urged him to share the story of India and help to realize our full potential of our relations.”

Dr. S. Jaishankar was on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from 22-24 May. His visit to Germany proved to be an important milestone in India-Germany Strategic partnership, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The purpose of this journey was to deepen bilateral cooperation and discover new opportunities in different fields.

This journey also shows how much priority the two sides give bilateral relations. This promoted renewed association with the newly formed German government, introduced a new pace in India-Germany strategic partnership and confirmed the commitment of both sides to further strengthen the relations between political, economic, technology and people between India and Germany. Germany is a strong supporter to pursue India-European Union relations, including early closing of FTA.
