Meanwhile, the central leadership of the Congress reacted to Sudhakaran’s statements, where a senior party source said that Sudhakaran was clearly considered to be removed from the post of KPCC chief.
Mr. Sudhakaran told reporters that the AICC has included him as a permanent invited member in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and “tried to remove him from state politics.”
He said that he wanted to remain KPCC President. He said, “I did not want me to be removed. The AICC decision shocked me. This has caused me a lot of mental trouble.”
Mr. Sudhakaran said that Kerala AICC General Secretary Deepa Dasmunsi had demanded the removal of him on health basis.
“We do not want to react to the comments made by Sudhakaran of this time. He had a two -round conversation and we explained the reason why he was asked to leave the post. We appeal to every leader of the party not to discuss further the matter”, a senior Congress leader said.
K. Sudhakaran said that neither RaHul Gandhi nor AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge indicated him about his withdrawal from the top post.
Sudhakaran said, “When I met Rahul Gandhi in the presence of Kharge, he hugged me and later Kharge invited me on tea.”
Of. Sudhakaran expressed disappointment that the party leadership did not officially farewell to him, although he also said that he did not want such a formal farewell.
