Family members, relatives and farmer workers staged a protest in front of the police station

Banud: The family members, relatives and farmer organizations of the deceased have demanded to increase the sections of the case registered in Banur police station regarding Kamaljeet Kaur, a 50-year-old woman who was killed in a mutual fight. Two neighbors in ward number 13 of the city staged a protest in front of the police station on Monday. On this occasion, the protesters raised slogans against the Punjab government and police. The ambulance was also standing there along with the dead body.

On this occasion, the deceased's husband Amarjit Singh Fauji, son Gursimran Singh, District President of Farmers Union Dakaunda Jagjit Singh Jaggi Karala, Senior Vice President Surinder Singh Chhinda Banur, farmer leader Gurpreet Singh Sekhanmajra, District President of Ex-Servicemen Organization Bant Singh Banur were present. Apart from Prem Singh Banur, Block Mohali President Captain Bant Singh, Kamaljit Singh Sekhanmajra, Inderjit Singh Khalour, Rupinder Singh Khalour, a large number of women were also present in the protest.

The protesters allege that lax action is being taken by the police. He said that the charges of murder by entering the house and assaulting the deceased have not been added to the alleged accused. He said that the alleged accused are being protected and no one has been arrested yet. He said that a family member of the deceased who was injured in this attack is undergoing treatment at the Government Medical Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh and the police has not yet recorded his statement.

Police chief Harsimran Singh assured to take legal action in all cases and arrest the accused as soon as possible, following which the protesters agreed to perform the cremation and lifted the protest after two hours.
