Friendship broke in elections
In the by-election, BJP gave ticket to Shatrughan Sinha against Rajesh Khanna. This made Rajesh Khanna angry and there was a rift in his friendship with Shatrughan. Rajesh Khanna won the by-election and remained MP from New Delhi till 1996. In 1996, he lost to Jagmohan by more than 50 thousand votes. People voted for Jagmohan wholeheartedly. After this, Rajesh became disillusioned with politics and moved away from it.
Rajesh Khanna did not believe throughout his life
Rajesh Khanna, who is called the first superstar of Indian cinema, became so angry with Shatrughan Sinha in 1992 that he did not make amends for the rest of his life. He won the election against Shatrughan by 25 thousand votes, but never forgave his friend.
