BJP has fielded woman candidate Shobhanaba Baraiya on Sabarkantha seat. As soon as Shobhanaba Baraiya got the ticket, she reached Shamlaji temple, the holy temple of Aravalli, where she had darshan and worship of Shamliya. Before starting the campaign, Shobhanaba visited Shamlaji temple and gave her first reaction, during which she told the media, 'Bhikhaji is my elder brother' and 'After Bhikhaji's blessings, we will move ahead.' Shobhnaba Baraiya has got a chance to contest elections for the first time. Shobhnaba Baraiya is a primary school teacher and currently does not hold any post in the party.
Candidate has been changed from Sabarkantha seat
Earlier, after the announcement of Lok Sabha 2024 elections, Bharatiya Janata Party had selected the candidate, in the first list, Bharatiya Janata Party had given party ticket to Bhikhaji Thakor from Sabarkantha seat. But Bhikhaji Thakor expressed reluctance to contest the elections through social media and other means and the Bharatiya Janata Party yesterday fielded a woman candidate for the Sabarkantha Lok Sabha seat in its fifth list. Shobhanaba Mahendrasinh Baraiya, wife of former MLA Mahendrasinh Baraiya, has been made the candidate from the provincial assembly seat. After the announcement of Shobhanaba's name, a large number of her supporters and Bharatiya Janata Party workers reached her house to wish them well. Shobhanaba Baraiya is working as a teacher in a primary school.
