Indian student dies after being crushed by a truck in Britain, had also worked in NITI Aayog

Cheshtha Kochhar Gurugram student Chestha Kochhar, who was pursuing her PhD from the London School of Economics, has died tragically in a road accident. He died on the spot after being hit by a truck. The special thing is that Kochhar has earlier also worked in NITI Aayog i.e. National Institute of Transforming India. At present no one has been arrested in this case.

Hit by a truck while riding a bicycle

33 year old Cheshtha was riding a bicycle on March 19. At that time her husband Prashant was also with her and was walking a little ahead. Suddenly he heard a loud sound and came to know about a road accident. He immediately ran to help Kochhar. The accident happened while returning home. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and paramedics also reached the spot.

Who was Cheshtha Kochhar?

Born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Cheshtha lived in Gurugram before moving to London. She arrived in London last September to pursue her PhD. Earlier he worked at NITI Aayog where he established a unit for behavioral sciences. He also worked with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
