New York: Ever since 'Ramlala' has been seated in Ayodhya. Since then there is unprecedented enthusiasm among Hindus living all over the world. That day a car rally was taken out in America under the leadership of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Now Ram Mandir Rath Yatra will be taken out on a large scale in America. The journey will begin from Chicago on a dusty day on Monday. It will pass through all 48 states of the US mainland, Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands. He will visit 851 temples in 60 days, during which he will travel 8 thousand miles and end up in 'Sugar Grove' city of Illinois on April 23, the day of Shri Hanuman Jayanti.
Amitabh Mittal, general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), organizer of this yatra, said that the chariot built on Toyota-Siena-Ven includes the idols of Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita, Brother Laxman and Ram Bhakt. In this journey, Hanumanji will be accompanied by Akshat Kalash along with special Prasad and Pran Pratishtha brought from Ram temple of Ayodhya. Mittal said that the establishment of Ram temple in Ayodhya has pleased the hearts of more than one and a half billion Hindus around the world and has infused new energy and faith in them.
This nationwide journey will start from Chicago, USA on March 25 and will travel 8000 miles and visit 851 temples in the US and about 150 temples in Canada. The arrangements for this visit in Canada are to be handled by 'Vishva Hindu Parishad of Canada'.
Tejal Shah of 'Hindu Temple Empowerment Council', the main organization of all Hindu temples in America, said that the purpose of this yatra is to create awareness about Hindu religion among the people, to give information to people about Hindu religion and to empower them.
The purpose of this Rath Yatra is to bring Hindus of different sects under one roof and spread the true understanding of Hindu ethics and religion. Many youth have registered their names to participate in this scheme.
