According to the information received under the Right to Information Act for the protection of such a large population, the number of real police forces in the state is 1,98,870 based on 2024 data. This means that there are 172 police officers per one lakh population. The number of women police officers is 36,009 and the ratio of women police officers is only 18.11 percent as compared to the total available police force.
