Many types of sweets are prepared on festivals like Holi and Diwali and without them the celebration seems incomplete. One such sweet is Gujiya, a traditional Indian dish made from flour and khoya. People of all ages, from children to adults, are eager to enjoy Gujiya. However, in recent times, some people have started avoiding gujiyas made with excess ghee and sugar. In such a situation, today we are going to share with you the recipe of very tasty and healthy baked gujiya. It can also be made without deep frying.
Material:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup ghee
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1/2 cup khoya
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup mixed dry fruits
1/4 cup grated coconut
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
recipe:
To cook gujiyas, preheat the oven to 350°F.
Mix flour, ghee and lukewarm water in a vessel and knead a soft dough.
The dough should be soft. Keep it covered for 15 minutes.
Mix dry fruits in another bowl.
Make small balls of dough and roll them. Place a spoonful of khoya mixture in the center of each rolled dough.
Fold the dough into a crescent shape and close the Gujiya by pressing the edges.
Place the gujiyas on a greased baking sheet and bake until golden brown.
After cooking, let the Gujiya cool down. Your cooked Gujiyas are ready to eat!
