Many types of dishes are prepared on Holi and if you also want to enjoy some spicy and tasty snacks then you can try Sattu ki Kachori. So let's know about its recipe.
Material:
About 200 grams of Sattu
1 finely chopped onion
1 small piece finely chopped ginger
3-4 green chillies finely chopped
2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander
1/2 teaspoon nigella
salt as per taste
2 tbsp mustard oil
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 tsp dry mango powder
1 tsp fennel powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
For the dough:
about 1 cup flour
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon carom seeds
3 tbsp oil (for kneading)
Method:
– Take out the flour in a vessel. Add salt, carom seeds and 3 tablespoons oil to it and knead a soft dough. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.
– Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it.
Then add green chilli, ginger and onion and fry until the onion turns golden brown.
– Add sattu, coriander powder, fennel powder, mix well and cook until the sattu turns light brown.
– Add garam masala, dry mango powder and salt and mix well. Finally add chopped coriander.
– Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a small disc. Place a spoonful of sattu mixture in the center and seal the edges to form a filled ball. Flatten the ball slightly with your palms.
– Heat air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the kachori in the air fryer basket and air fry at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes.
-Flip the kachoris and fry for 5 minutes until they become golden brown and crispy.
– Repeat the same process with the remaining flour and sattu mixture.
– Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
