
Gujarat Development: The central government has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for Gujarat. Rs 100 crore sanctioned for the construction of 14 km long Idar-Badoli bypass in Sabarkantha, Gujarat. 705 crore rupees have been sanctioned. This will help reduce traffic jams in 4-lane bypass Ider.
A press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office said that the central government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore. Approval of Rs 100 crore for construction of 14 km long bypass from Idar to Badoli in Sabarkantha district. 705 crore rupees have been sanctioned. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the approval on Friday.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning Rs 705.09 crore for the construction of this four -lane road. He said that this project will not only provide relief from traffic jams in Idar, but will also strengthen the contact with Ambaji and Rajasthan and ensure safe and fast journey.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari wrote in a post on social media, “A bypass on National Highway-168G will be constructed in Sabarkantha. NH-168G starts from Mehsana and passes through Visnagar, Vadnagar, Khelu, Idar, Badoli and Bhilaoda and passes through heavy traffic passing through the city of Shamlaji before merger in National Highway-48.” In addition, Idar acts as an important transport center for vehicles going towards Mehsana and Shamlaji. To deal with these challenges, the highway will be upgraded to a four -lane road, which will improve security and ensure uninterrupted traffic.
The bypass on National Highway-168G will start from Maniyar, which will take the traffic away from the city of Idar and connect the Shamlaji highway ahead of Badoli Junction. The 14.2 km long bypass will pass through prominent places including Sapwada, Laloda, Savgarh Cantonment, Budhia and Vansdol before reaching Badoli.
Its construction will include two large bridges, a small bridge, one railway over bridge (ROB) and four vehicles underpass (VUP), which will ensure better contact, security and smooth traffic flow.
Construction work of four lanes from Mehsana to Shamlaji is going on in three phases, in which work is going on in various stages. The Idar-Badoli bypass has been approved under the second phase.
