Jaishankar said that our government is fully committed to the safety and well-being of Indians living abroad. He told that Indian citizens will be evacuated from Haiti and sent to Dominican Republic. Recently the Indian government had said that it is concerned about the difficult situation in Haiti. We are considering evacuating 90 Indians from Haiti.

Along with this, he also thanked the Dominican Republic government. Along with the post, Jaishankar also shared a picture on X. It is noteworthy that India does not have any embassy in Haiti. The situation there is being monitored by the Indian Mission in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.
