BJP Mahila Morcha leader Phalguni Patra alleged that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government has failed to create employment opportunities for women in the state, so now such steps are being taken.
They said,
“The state government is unable to give women safe work and is now forcing them to work in places where their security may be in danger.”

The protesters shouted slogans against the state government and demanded immediate withdrawal of the decision.
What is the whole matter?
The West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Wednesday amended the ‘Bengal Excise Act, 1909’ and passed a bill allowing women to work in the bar.
The TMC government says that this decision has been taken aimed at creating new employment opportunities for women, while opposition parties are calling it a threat to women’s safety.
On the other hand, the Election Commission said that more than 4,000 election officials of the state are holding all-party meetings to resolve the pending booth level issues in their respective constituencies.
Political parties accusations
-
Many opposition parties, including TMC, accused the Election Commission of manipulating the election data to benefit the BJP.
-
The issue of repetition of voter ID card number was also raised, on which the Commission has decided to include birth and death registration authorities to add voter list to Aadhaar and make it more accurate.
