Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu has announced the names of 21 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 19. The party has also released a manifesto. In the first phase, voting will be held on all 39 seats of Tamil Nadu. Here DMK is a part of the opposition alliance and is contesting the elections along with many parties, along with DMK there are other regional parties including Congress.
In Tamil Nadu, DMK is contesting on 21 and Congress on 9 Lok Sabha seats. IUML, MDMK and KMDK won one seat each. CPM, VCK, CPI got two seats each.

Congress will contest elections on these seats
Congress will contest elections on 9 seats in Tamil Nadu. Congress will field its candidates from Krishnagiri, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Karur, Sivagangai, Mayiladuthurai, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar and Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seats.
