6 arrested for cyber fraud of Rs 32 lakh in Kandivali

Mumbai – Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a gang of six cyber thugs, who used to commit online fraud in the name of arresting a digital CBI officer. The accused arrested a 49-year-old man in Kandivali digitally and seized Rs 32 lakh, an official said.

Gangavishan Manju (age 32), Vilas Bishnoi (age 21), Premsukh Bishnoi (age 19), Ramniwari Bishnoi (age 19), Sunil are accused of cyber fraud by impersonating Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers Bishnoi (died 24) Ajay Kumar Bishnoi (21 AD) has been apprehended and further investigation has been conducted.

Police said that the accused are originally from Rajasthan. The gang was caught after a raid in a hotel in South Mumbai. They had come to recover the fraudulent amount. They were also preparing to send it abroad through USDT.

A 49-year-old man from Kandivali was arrested digitally and defrauded to the tune of Rs 32 lakh. After depositing the money in the bank’s current account, the amount was transferred to 15 bank accounts within a few minutes.

While investigating the transactions, cyber police found that the accused had an account in Chembur Bank. Rs 5.28 lakh were deposited in it and after getting information about this account, an accused was arrested.

After further investigation, five of his associates were arrested. The police officer said.
