AHMEDABAD: With barely 48 hours left to file GST monthly and quarterly returns, it was announced today to extend the deadline for filing monthly and quarterly returns in GSTR-1 by two days with the intention of providing convenience to traders who are facing hassles. Were in. GST portal closed.

Additionally, those filing quarterly returns are required to file their returns by the 11th of the month following the end of the June, September, December quarter.

Similarly, the date for filing GSTR 3-B and depositing GST for the month of December has been extended from January 20 to January 22. Those filing quarterly returns have been allowed to file GSTR3-B by January 26 instead of January 24.

This step has been taken because there was an uproar across the country regarding the GST portal being down on January 9. The portal did not function properly on Thursday and Friday. According to the information given on the Twitter handle, the portal will start working by 12 noon on Saturday.
