Kumbh Mela 2025: India’s biggest religious event Mahakumbh is going to start in just a few days. This great festival will start from 13 January 2025, and the first Shahi Snan will take place on 14 January. This time it is expected that more than 30 crore devotees will take a dip of faith in the Ganga in the Mahakumbh. However, before this event, a controversy has arisen regarding the entry of non-Sanatanis.
Question of ban on entry of non-Sanatanis
Niranjani Peethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri has given a clear statement on this issue. He says:
“Non-Sanatanis are not required to come to Mahakumbh. They will neither bathe in the Ganga, nor visit or touch the feet of saints, nor maintain peace. Apart from this, their food will also not be pure and they do not believe in Sanatan Dharma.”
Describing this Mahakumbh as special, Mahamandaleshwar said that it is coming after 144 years and people who want to know Sanatan Dharma come here. The purpose of Mahakumbh is to attain spiritual happiness and peace, which is experienced in the company of sages and saints.
Meeting of Dharma Sansad and demand of Sanatan Board
Dharma Sansad will be organized on 27 January 2025 during Mahakumbh. In this the demands of Sanatan Board and Hindu Rashtra will be discussed.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri said:
“When there can be Waqf Board and other boards, why not Sanatan Board? Consent of saints and mahatmas will be taken on this in the Parliament of Religions. This board will be headed by Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri.”
Describing Mahakumbh as a heritage of India’s great traditions and sages, he said that such an event is possible only in India. This event gives the message of India’s unity and eternal culture.
Reaction to Owaisi’s statement
On Asaduddin Owaisi’s opposition to Hindu Rashtra, Mahamandaleshwar said that:
“Sadhus and saints do not pay much attention to Owaisi’s words. Owaisi should refrain from saying anything on Indian culture and Mother India, because he himself lives on this Indian land.”
He also said that the proposal by Yogi Adityanath to change the name of Mahakumbh to Sanskrit name is welcome. This step symbolizes respect for Indian traditions and culture.
Preparation for organizing Mahakumbh
Swami Kailashanand Giri described the preparations made by the Yogi government of Center and Uttar Pradesh as grand and historic. They said that:
- Saints, Mahants, and Naga Sannyasis will participate in the procession with great pomp.
- The event will present India as the land of saints and sages.
- It has been wished for the safe arrival and bath of more than 40 crore devotees in Mahakumbh.
Importance of Mahakumbh
Mahakumbh is the biggest symbol of religious and cultural unity of India. This event is not just a religious event, but a living example of Indian culture, traditions and spirituality.
Mahakumbh 2025 will spread the message of India’s eternal tradition and unity to the entire world.
