There may be heavy rain in the next 2 days, cold wave is expected to return

The weather pattern is going to change in Delhi-NCR this weekend. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday. The sunshine of the last two days had given some relief from the cold, but due to the coming rain the temperature may drop rapidly. Along with this, there is a possibility of icy winds blowing, which will further increase the effect of cold.

Cold will increase due to two days of rain

According to IMD, there will be an impact of rain in Delhi-NCR on 11 and 12 January 2025.

• Due to rain, the night temperature will drop, due to which the nights will become colder.
• Daytime temperatures are expected to remain stable, but icy winds and rain will make the cold feel more intense.
• With the return of cold wave, the effect of winter may increase again.

There was some relief in the past few days

The sunshine in the last two days had provided relief from the cold. An increase of 1-2 degrees Celsius was observed in the temperature.
However, IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding dense fog in the area. This fog can affect visibility especially in the morning, evening and night.
