Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has strongly criticized the recent statements of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of defaming Delhi and increasing communal tension.

“Stop trying to defame Delhi”

Virendra Sachdeva said,
“I feel sad to see how attempts are being made to defame my Delhi.”
He expressed concern about Kejriwal’s language and said,
“From the language of the three-time chief minister, it seems that he has lost his mental balance.”

Sachdeva said simply,
“I request Arvind Kejriwal not to take revenge from the people of Delhi for losing power. If you want to abuse, give it to me. Abuse BJP, but don’t destroy Delhi. Don’t throw it into the fire of communalism.”

Accused of hindering the development of Delhi

Sachdeva accused the AAP government of hampering Delhi’s development and misusing its power.
He said:
“You have ruined Delhi as much as you could. You looted the property of this city by stopping development.”

Condemnation of comments on Purvanchal community

The BJP leader also expressed displeasure over Kejriwal’s remarks on fake voters. He said:
“Yesterday you insulted the entire society by calling our Purvanchali brothers as fake voters. This is highly condemnable.”

Sachdeva said that this is not the first time that Kejriwal has made such comments on the Purvanchal community.
“The dark truth of your mind comes to your tongue again and again. On education, health, or any other issue, you abuse the Purvanchal community.”

Accused of spreading communal tension

Referring to statements made by Kejriwal and AAP leader Atishi during the New Year, Sachdeva said:
“When people were celebrating New Year, you and your party were trying to create communal tension. You claimed that temples are being demolished.”

He said that Kejriwal has repeatedly tried to spread communalism.
“Delhi gave you respect, position, and you call it a mare and ask who is the groom. You always try to create communal tension.”

Mention of 2020 Delhi riots

Citing the 2020 Delhi riots, Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of inciting tension for political gains.
He said:
“People have not forgotten the Delhi riots. When you feel that your power is slipping out of your hands, you do this. You raise questions on the Election Commission. You only care about your chair.”
