Fast bowler Varun Aaron announced his retirement: Fast bowler Varun Aaron has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. He has confirmed his retirement by giving information on social media. Varun Aaron became very famous for his fast bowling. However, he could not live up to his talent at the international level and could only play 18 matches for India. Varun came into limelight during the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2010-11. In which he bowled at a speed of 153 km/hour.

What did Varun say?

Varun wrote on Instagram, ‘For the last 20 years I have been living the thrill of fast bowling. It is with gratitude that I today officially announce my retirement from cricket. This journey would not have been possible without God, my family, friends, teammates, coaches, support staff and fans. I have overcome many serious injuries during my career and this was only possible because of the tireless dedication of the physios, trainers and coaches at the National Cricket Academy.

Varun Aaron’s cricket career

Varun’s career could not last long due to injuries. He made his debut for India in the year 2011. He took three wickets in the debut match. Varun took 29 wickets in 18 matches for India. However, meanwhile Varun was playing domestic cricket for Jharkhand. Apart from this, Varun took 44 wickets in 52 matches in IPL at an average of 33.66. However, he did not get a chance to play in the T20 match.
