Sonu Nigam said this about Rahman!
Talking about AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam said, ‘He has no relation. He is not the kind of man who has relationships. He doesn’t resemble anyone. I haven’t seen that. He may be hanging out with his old friends who know him as Dilip, but I haven’t seen him hanging out or having a relationship with anyone. He is not a friendly person. He just likes to work.
Sonu recalls the time when he went on an American tour with Rahman. There was hi-hello between the two throughout the tour. He said, ‘She doesn’t know how to gossip and that’s not a bad thing. It is like that. He doesn’t want to know anything about me or anyone else and he doesn’t want anyone to know anything about him. His personality is unique.
Rehman doesn’t speak bad about anyone
Talking further about Rahman, Sonu Nigam said, ‘He is a very respectable person. Who doesn’t speak bad about anyone. Rahman only concentrates on his work and prayers. He does his own work and says his own prayers. He doesn’t abuse anyone. He doesn’t hurt anyone. Don’t speak bad about anyone. He is away from all these things. He is close to his family. But I didn’t see him being friendly with anyone else. He doesn’t let anyone come close to him. This is how it should be.’
Sonu Nigam also remembered his old projects with Rahman. Both of them worked together for the first time for the film ‘Doad’. Sonu said that Rahman allowed me to sing as I wanted instead of giving orders. Sonu Nigam was surprised by this.
