The Chief Minister made this announcement at the inauguration of Gorakhpur’s first Mini Sports Complex. According to reports, this huge sports complex will be built on 33 acres of land in Raptinagar area of Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made it clear that the Uttar Pradesh government is fully committed to promoting sports in the state. He said that mini stadiums are being built at the block and district level across the state, which will provide an opportunity to local talents to progress. Apart from this, playgrounds are being built in every village so that sports can be encouraged in rural areas also.
