A strange case has come to light in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Police have arrested a YouTuber named Johnny Kumar, who committed theft out of his passion to fulfill his wife’s expensive hobbies and make a career in Bollywood. The incident came to light when Johnny stole Rs 10 lakh from Hitachi Cash, a company that dispenses cash in ATMs, at his own workplace. However, the police acted swiftly in this case and arrested him within 24 hours.
The reason behind the theft surprised the police
When the police asked Johnny Kumar the reason for the theft, his story surprised everyone. According to Manish Kumar Mishra, ADCP of Noida Zone, Johnny was fond of making videos and songs on YouTube. His dream was to make a big name in Bollywood, but meanwhile his wife’s expensive hobbies and increasing household expenses made him a thief.
Bollywood’s dream and wrong path
Johnny says that he wanted to make his mark in Bollywood by becoming successful on YouTube. He had a love marriage, due to which his family threw him out of the house. After this he started living with his wife in a rented house in Khoda area. But after marriage the burden of expenses increased, and to fulfill his wife’s wishes he adopted the wrong path.
How was the theft carried out?
Johnny worked at Hitachi Cash Company, where his job was to put cash in ATMs. Taking advantage of his old identity, he stole Rs 10 lakh from the company on January 8 and absconded.
The company informed the police
As soon as information about the theft was received, the company immediately informed the police. Understanding the seriousness of the matter, the police caught the accused within 24 hours.
Johnny’s family background
Johnny is originally from Bulandshahr. His father and brother work as confectioners. The family had thrown her out of the house because of love marriage. After this he started his new life in Noida.
Wife’s expensive hobbies become the reason
Police investigation revealed that Johnny’s wife was fond of expensive clothes, jewellery, and other things. He was not able to meet these expenses from his earnings, due to which he came under financial pressure and committed crimes like theft.
Police action and further investigation
Noida Police has registered a case against the accused under Section 305A/317(2) in Phase-One police station. On Thursday, the accused was presented in the court, from where he was sent to jail.
