We knew our flummy masala was not meant to be flummy, so we had to wait for it to succeed. On the other hand, the animals had shock value which led to the film's success. Vicky further said, I, my director Meghna Gulzar and the entire team of the film were confident that the film would draw the audience to the theater through word of mouth promotion. Anyway, if this film is not liked by the audience then it does not matter when and with which film it is releasing. But as time passed, people started connecting with it and talking about it. Animal grossed 7 times more than Sam Bahadur at the worldwide box office. Animal earned Rs 917 crore, making it the third highest grossing film of the year after Jawan and Pathan. Sam Bahadur did a business worth Rs 130 crore. Talking about the work front, Ranbir and Vicky will soon start shooting for Bhansali's next film Love and War. Apart from these two, Alia Bhatt will also be in this film to be released on Christmas 2025.
