33 ITBP posts moved to China border with increase of six battalions

New Delhi: China’s arrogance keeps coming to light every day on the Indian border. In such a situation, now the Indian Army has also become alert. The posts are being advanced towards the border by the ITBP deployed on the LAC border between India and China. A total of 56 posts will be removed near the Chinese border, out of which 33 posts have already been deployed near the border. Also six more new battalions have been deployed.

During the 63rd Foundation Day celebrations of ITB in Khordha district of Odisha, ITBP Director General Rahul Rasgotra said that the Army has prepared an important plan. Under which a total of 56 border posts of ITBP are being brought closer to the front. Out of which 33 posts have been brought closer to the border. The ITBP chief said the government had some time ago sanctioned seven new battalions for border guarding duties. Out of which six battalions are deployed near LAC in Arunachal Pradesh. While one has been deployed at the front in Sikkim.

He said that ITBP is being modernized. Nationwide fiber network will also be used to strengthen the network. Besides, weapons will also be made highly modern for which a proposal will be sent to the Union Home Ministry. Besides, action is also being planned against Naxalites. ITBP has been given Rs 2,500 crore this year to improve its infrastructure. Last year the amount of this expenditure was one thousand crore rupees. After the war with China in 1962, ITBP was mainly entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the 3488 km long border with China, apart from the internal security of the country.
