Before this, summons have been issued to Kejriwal on 21 November 2023, 3 January, 18 January, 2 February, 19 February, 26 February and 4 March. Kejriwal has got bail from the court in the case of violating ED summons. Aam Aadmi Party alleges that BJP is bent on forcibly putting Chief Minister Kejriwal in jail in some case or the other. They come up with some excuse or the other. BJP wants to contest elections by hiding behind ED.
The ED has claimed that money obtained through contract corruption by the DJB was allegedly sent as election money to the ruling party AAP in Delhi. In February, the ED raided the residences of Kejriwal's personal assistant, an Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha member, a former DJB member, a chartered accountant and others as part of the investigation. Experts say that the ED case is based on the CBI FIR, in which NKG Irregularities have been alleged in DJB's contract worth Rs 38 crore from Infrastructure Limited Company. The allegation is that the company did not meet the technical eligibility criteria but still gave him the job in an irregular manner.
