In the first innings of Rajkot Test match, Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the pavilion with the help of 2 fours in 10 balls. Although Yashasvi was in form and had earlier scored a double century in the Visakhapatnam Test, his dismissal disappointed both him and the team, but he compensated for the defeat in the first innings by scoring a century in the second innings. Yashasvi scored his first century in Test cricket in Rajkot, while it was his second century against England. Also, this was his second century in this test series. Yashasvi scored his first Test century on the West Indies tour in 2023.
