ED again sent notice to CM Arvind Kejriwal, ordered to appear on March 21

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday (March 17) has once again sent a notice to Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Liquor Policy issue. This is the ninth summons sent by ED to the Chief Minister of Delhi. In the notice sent by the investigating agency, Kejriwal has been asked to come to the ED office on March 21 and cooperate in the investigation.

Before this, ED has called Kejriwal for questioning eight times. Kejriwal last received the notice on February 27. In this he was asked to come to the ED office on March 4. But Kejriwal said that he will appear before the agency only after the court's order. In this case, ED reached Rouse Avenue Court, where he was ordered to appear in the court on 16 March. Apart from this, on Saturday (March 16), the Rouge Avenue Court on complaints Hearing, which he had filed against Kejriwal. These complaints were made regarding the non-appearance of the Delhi Chief Minister on the summons of ED. Hearing the complaints, the court granted bail to Kejriwal. The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra, while granting bail in the middle of the hearing, also allowed Kejriwal to leave the court room.

The Avenue Court said that since the offense is bailable, Kejriwal is granted bail. ED was also directed to hand over the documents related to the complaints to Kejriwal. Delhi Chief Minister appeared in the court amid tight security. ED has said in its complaints that Kejriwal is not respecting the investigating agency. He is being called repeatedly to cooperate in the investigation, but he is not present. ED had requested to prosecute Kejriwal.
