Counterattack on Gehlot government’s decision

The Bhajan Lal government has reversed the decisions taken at the last moments of the Gehlot government, terming them politically motivated. In the last phase of its tenure, the previous government had decided to create 17 new districts and 3 divisions. There was a lot of controversy regarding this move.

Impact of Bhajanlal government’s decision

Reducing the number of districts in the state to 41 and the number of divisions to 7 will bring stability in the administrative structure. However, this decision can be seen causing dissatisfaction among the local residents of the affected districts.
