One dead, 20 rescued after boat capsizes near Calangute beach

A major accident occurred when a tourist boat capsized near Calangute beach in North Goa on Wednesday, December 25. A 54-year-old man died in the incident, while 20 other passengers were rescued safely. The accident occurred in the Arabian Sea at around 1.30 pm.

Police statement:

• There were 13 members of a family from Khed in Maharashtra on board the boat.
