Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has expressed apprehension ahead of the upcoming elections in Delhi that Chief Minister Atishi may be arrested in a fake case. On Wednesday, Kejriwal made this claim while holding a press conference with Atishi, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. He said that action can also be taken against him through ED, CBI and Income Tax Department.
“Information received from sources”
Kejriwal said that he has received concrete information from sources that a plan is being made to arrest Atishi under a fake case of the Transport Department.
He said:
“3-4 days ago we came to know from our sources that a meeting of ED, CBI and Income Tax was held. Orders have been given from above that Atishi should be arrested by somehow implicating him in a fake case. I am making this allegation with full responsibility.”
