R Bhupathi Reddy said, ‘Congress has never been against the cinema industry. Congress governments gave land to film personalities to set up film industries in Hyderabad. But films like ‘Pushpa’ are not beneficial for the society. This is a trafficking story.
Revanth Reddy warns Allu Arjun
Reddy further said, ‘Allu Arjun, be careful before saying anything about our Chief Minister. You are from Andhra Pradesh and have come here. What is your contribution to Telangana? We are giving 100 percent warning, if you do not do this then we will not allow your films to be played in Telangana.
Allegations made regarding the screening of the film
On December 4, a woman died and her son was injured during the screening of Pushpa 2. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun regarding this incident. Reddy also alleged that Allu Arjun had screened the film in the theater without permission.
Allu Arjun gave clarification
In his statement on December 21, Allu Arjun called the incident an ‘accident’ and rejected CM Revanth Reddy’s allegations. The actor clarified that, ‘My presence in the theater was not a road show. Apart from this, I am not against any department or political leader or government. The Telangana dispute reflects the conflict between cinema and politics.
