UP Police finds missing girl after 49 years: In Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, police have reunited a kidnapped girl with her family after 49 years. The police have been successful in locating the victim’s family based on her childhood memories.
In the year 1975, 8 year old girl Phoolmati went to Moradabad with her mother Shyama Devi. In Moradabad market, a middle-aged man coaxed the girl and took her with him. Then he kept it with himself for some time and later sold it to a person named Laltaprasad living in Rampur of Bhot district. Laltaprasad was married to Phoolmati. Although the police searched, the girl was not found at that time.
After marrying the victim, Laltaprasad had a son, Sompal. Son is 34 years old. The victim was searching for her family members. He had only vague memories of his childhood. He remembered only the name of the village.

When SP Shailendra Lal got all the information about the victim, he got the investigation done. A team was also prepared for that. The team brought the victim to Azamgarh. He told that his maternal uncle’s name was Ramchandra. Who lived in Chutidadh village. There was also a well in the courtyard of the house. According to the name and address given by him, the police found Ramchandra’s house. The village he had mentioned has now been shifted from Azamgarh district to Mau district.
This came to light by interrogating Ramchandra.
On interrogating Ramchandra, the police came to know that his sister-in-law had gone missing 49 years ago. Phooladevi was able to meet her family after 49 years.
