The British Defense Ministry on Tuesday refuted Punjab Police’s claim that a British Army soldier was involved in terrorist activities in India. The ministry clarified that no such person is deployed in their army.
Punjab Police claims
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, while sharing information on social media, had said that a British soldier, who introduced himself as Jagjit Singh and alias Fateh Singh Baghi, was operating a terrorist module like Khalistan Zindabad Force.
British Defense Ministry’s response
A British Defense Ministry official clarified that there is no person with this name in their army. Along with this, the Indian Army has also confirmed that they have not had any contact with any such person.
This statement raises questions on the claim of Punjab Police and underlines the need to investigate the accuracy of the case.
