Pakistan launches air attack on Afghanistan, 15 people killed, tension increases

Pakistan carried out an air strike in Barmal district of Paktika province of Afghanistan on Tuesday night. 15 people, including women and children, were killed in the attack, and many others were injured. Afghan officials say the death toll may increase. According to reports, Pakistani jets carried out this attack, in which seven villages including Laman were targeted. Five members of the same family were also killed in the attack.

Pakistani officials say that in this attack a Taliban training camp was targeted, due to which many terrorists were killed and the camp was completely destroyed. However, local sources and reports have confirmed that civilians were killed in this attack. Murg Bazar village of Barmal district has been completely destroyed in the attack.

Afghan Defense Ministry’s response

The Defense Ministry of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan has strongly condemned the attack. He described it as against international principles and said that women and children were also targeted in this brutal attack. According to the Defense Ministry statement, most of those killed were refugees from Waziristan. The ministry made serious allegations against Pakistan and said that this attack is against the sovereignty of Afghanistan.

Taliban warned of retaliation

After Pakistan’s air strike, Taliban’s Defense Ministry has given a strong reaction. He said that Afghanistan is capable of protecting its land and sovereignty and Pakistan’s move will be responded to. This attack is the second such incident since March when Pakistan launched attacks in the border areas of Afghanistan. In March also, Pakistan had carried out similar air strikes based on intelligence information.
