The Union Home Ministry on Friday launched a mobile app that will facilitate applications under the CAA. According to the Home Ministry spokesperson, the app can be downloaded from Google Play Store or the central government website.

The spokesperson said that the Citizenship Amendment Act CAA-2019 mobile app has been launched to apply under CAA-2019. Earlier, the Home Ministry had launched a portal for people eligible to apply for Indian citizenship under the CAA.
The rules implementing the CAA were notified on Monday, paving the way for granting citizenship to non-Muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
