Famous Indian cinema director Shyam Benegal died on Monday, 23 December 2024 in Mumbai. He was 90 years old and was ill for a long time. Shyam Benegal celebrated his 90th birthday earlier this month. During this time he had revealed that he was working on 2-3 new projects.

“We all get old. I don’t do anything big on my birthday. It may be a special day, but I don’t particularly celebrate it. I cut the cake in the office with my team.” - Upcoming Projects,
