District administration and police officers active
Let us tell you that some people from one party reached Jaunpur Kotwali on Friday evening with the demand of building a boundary wall for the protection of Shivalinga in the cemetery located at Mulla Tola Maholla of Jaunpur city police station area. During interrogation, a group of local people told that this Shivalinga is about 150 years old. Earlier there was a huge Peepal tree here, under which this Shivalinga is installed. After the tree fell, the Shivalinga was left under the open sky, due to which it is now unsafe.
There is no mutual tension in this area

Whereas, the other side says that the Shivalinga present in the middle of the cemetery is 20-25 years old. He also says that earlier it was under the Peepal tree. The Peepal tree becomes exposed as soon as it falls. In this area with 99% Muslim population, Holika Dahan is also done next to the cemetery and sometimes people also come to worship Shivalinga. There is no mutual tension here.
