Welcome with flower shower in Mahakumbh

As the monk moved forward, he picked up the dust from his feet from the road and applied it on his head and experienced supreme bliss. The occasion was the camp entry procession of Shri Panchdasnam Avahan Akhara. Jan Aastha and Adhikar Akhara organized the yatra in a grand and royal style. Devotees and administrative officials welcomed the saints at various places by showering flowers and cheering.

A long procession of saints was moving forward

Among the 13 Akharas, the saints of Shripanch Dashnam Avahan Akhara, the first existing one, performed the puja as per the rituals in the ashram located at Madauka. After the puja, the camp entry procession started with weapons. The adorable Siddhi of the Akhara was the palanquin of Vinayak Ganesh. A long procession of saints was following him.

The camp entry procession led by Akhara head Mahamandelshwar Swami Arun Giri passed through the new Yamuna bridge and entered the fair grounds. According to Swami Arun Giri, Avahan Akhara is the oldest. Till now 122 Mahakumbh and 123 Kumbh have taken place in Prayagraj. The Akhara has entered the Mahakumbh area with its unique resolution. Passing through various routes, the Akhara entered its camp via the Triveni Pontoon Bridge. Shri Mahant Gopal Giri of the Akhara told that the saints have camped near Dharmadhwaja in the camp located in the fair area.

plant a tree and save nature

Apart from the Mahamandaleshwars riding on chariots, Naga saints were riding on horses and camels in the camp entry procession of Avahan Akhara. On the other hand, all the saints proceeded on foot carrying the flag. The chariot of Gajanan, the deity of the Akhara, was decorated with flowers. Then the chariot of Panch Parmeshwar of the Akhara and then Acharya Mahamandaleshwar of the Akhara was moving. The saints gave the message of environmental protection by chanting ‘Plant trees, save nature’.

Promotion of Sanatan and protection of religion

Swami Arun Giri says that the basic objective of our Akhara is to promote Sanatan and protect religion. But the biggest threat facing nature at present is to protect the environment. Therefore, under the Save Nature Campaign, we are taking a pledge from the devotees and people of Sanat to plant trees. In Mahakumbh, 51 thousand fruit plants will be distributed as Prasad to the devotees.
