Prashant Neel’s shocking statement: It has been a year since the release of Pan India star Prabhas’ film Salaran. Salar Aam, one of the biggest hit films of 2023, was one of the biggest hit films of the year but the film Aam To did not get as good a response from the public as expected. After the immense success of ‘KGF 2’, the audience was expecting an epic film from Prashanth Neel.
Director Prashant Neel gave a promotional interview on the occasion of the anniversary of his film and talked in detail about Salaar. Neil reveals what he wants to achieve in Salaar 2 and how hard he is working on the second part.
Prashant Neel made this mistake in Salar
Prashant Neel’s KGF franchise has created quite a stir in theatres. Meanwhile, when Prashant joined hands with big stars like Prabhas for his new film, fans were expecting a big bang from this film. The film performed quite well but some people saw some flaws in the film.
In a new interview, Prashanth revealed how happy he was with the success of Salaar and what mistakes he made while making the film. “I am not completely happy, I am a little disappointed with the effort I gave in the first half,” he said. Perhaps I was a little too satisfied with the success of KGF 2, but that being the case, I decided to make Salaar 2 my best film. My writing for this film is my best work. I am sure I will pay the price for it. This will be my best work without any question.
‘Saalar 2’ will be strong with emotions, not action
Talking about the second part, Prashant said, ‘Salaar’ is not about guns or swords. It is not about the moment when two best friends (Deva and Vardha) become enemies. I’m fully believing the moment that causes the two to get separated will be in Part 2. This drama is not at all like ‘Ugram’ (Prashanth’s Kannada film on which Salaar is based).
Prashant had once said that it was his dream to see a theater full of audiences coming to watch the story of Ugram and he hoped that this dream would come true with Salaar. Kannada star Sri Murali was the hero in 2014’s Ugram. The film was not successful in theaters but it exposed Prashant’s unique filmmaking style to people. It was because of Ugram that Yash agreed to work with Prashant in KGF.
