A case of fraud of Rs 1.74 crore has come to light from a 40-year-old builder resident of Kamothe, Navi Mumbai. Police have registered a case against the owner of the financial advisory firm, the bank manager and seven other people.
- Complainant’s allegation:
The builder alleged that the accused had promised help in getting a loan of Rs 4 crore for the business.- For this, Rs 24.41 lakh was taken as processing fee.
- After this the accused did not get any loan passed.

Naupada police said that the accused had similarly cheated many other people.- Overall, the accused duped loan borrowers of Rs 1.74 crore.
- Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
Eight Bangladeshis living illegally in Thane arrested
Thane Police has arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally, including a woman.
- Raid details:
Police conducted raids based on the complaint in Kelhar and Kogaon areas.- Eight people aged between 22 and 42 could not produce valid documents in India.
- Those arrested include three scrap dealers, two labourers, a mason and a plumber.

Navy bus breaks down on Marine Drive, traffic disrupted
An Indian Navy bus broke down on Monday morning in Mumbai’s busy Marine Drive area, affecting traffic.

The bus broke down in the morning near Marine Plaza Hotel.- Due to this the traffic slowed down and people faced problems.
- Solution to the problem:
- The traffic police removed the bus from the road at 9:45 am with the help of a towing van.
